Building a Sustainable Foundation for Growth

Health and wellness goes beyond physical movement and balanced nutrition, though both are prioritized here at Pingree. Students are encouraged to make use of their free blocks to get ahead on schoolwork and spend time with friends. H-block courses allow students to explore new areas of interest in a low-risk setting. Our 100-acre campus offers ample opportunity to step away from the classroom and take time in nature. By balancing rigor and rest, we see Pingree students growing in ways they never thought possible.

Making Time for What Matters

Students do their best when they have the time and space to show up fully—in the classroom, on the field, on stage, and with each other. That’s why we've intentionally designed our schedule to support the whole student. With built-in time for wellness, connection, creativity, and rest, Pingree’s daily rhythm helps students balance responsibilities and joy—so they can grow in every direction.

Be Well: Belonging and Wellness

At Pingree, wellness and belonging are more than aspirations—they’re essential to how students grow, connect, and thrive. Through our Be Well program, students build the skills and self-awareness to care for themselves and others, navigate life’s challenges with confidence, and contribute meaningfully to the community around them.

Anchored by a credit-bearing Community Education course taken in either ninth or tenth grade—or during the first trimester for transfer students—the program blends guided reflection, open conversation, and hands-on engagement. Students explore topics such as identity, mental health, relationships, physical well-being, and resilience.

A Community That Cares

At Pingree, students is known—and that makes all the difference. Our approach to student support is rooted in attentiveness, collaboration, and care. From advisors who check in regularly, to our school counselor who is available throughout the day, students can count on the support of trusted adults. Behind the scenes, our Student Support Team meets weekly to monitor wellbeing and coordinate care, and our full faculty gathers twice each trimester to discuss the progress and needs of every student. Whether navigating challenges or celebrating growth, our community is here to listen, respond, and help each student thrive.
