Pingree Parent Network

The Pingree Parent Network (PPN) aims to facilitate opportunities for parents to connect with each other and engage in the Pingree community.

As a Pingree parent or guardian, we welcome your participation in the PPN and hope to see you at many events throughout the year.

What We Do

The PPN supports a number of programs and initiatives throughout the academic year, including:

  • Parent educational opportunities
    • Previous topics have included information about vaping; supporting children who experience stress and anxiety; harnessing social courage; and equipping parents with tools to promote positive social media use.
  • Faculty and staff appreciation luncheons
    • Each year the PPN hosts two appreciation luncheons to celebrate Pingree's dedicated faculty and staff. Information about luncheons and how to contribute will be shared with the parent community as luncheon dates near.
  • Grade-specific parent socials
    • Each year, PPN grade-level representatives host one on-campus parent social known as the "Parent Potluck," and one off-campus social at a local venue for parents and guardians to connect and get to know one another.
  • Book club discussions
    • One per trimester, parents and guardians are invited to enjoy a good book and lively discussion together. For more information about this year's book club please contact Jen Giordano
  • Community Learning Garden events
    • Each fall and spring, the PPN hosts learning garden events for parents and guardians such as a fall floral arranging workshop or a spring herb planting event. Event information will be published in Pingree's weekly e-newsletter when it becomes available.
  • The Snack Shack
    • Located on the athletics field, the Snack Shack is entirely staffed by parent volunteers and is open everyday after school. Volunteering at the Snack Shack is a great way to meet fellow parents and interact with students. Seasonal volunteer sign-ups are shared via PPN emails and are also included in the weekly e-newsletter.
