Parent Events and Volunteer Opportunities
Pingree parents and guardians are valued members of the Pingree community. We hope to see you on campus throughout the year at a variety of events hosted for parents or by volunteering directly with Pingree programs.
For questions, please contact Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement, Ashley Goliti-Chase.
The Pingree Parent Network hosts grade-specific parent socials throughout the academic year to build community. Upcoming parent socials include:
- Grade 11 Parent Social at Evviva Cucina in Beverly: Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.
- Grade 10 Parent Social at Ipswich Ale Brewer's Table: Tuesday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m.
Throughout the academic year, Pingree School and the Pingree Parent Network host parent potlucks to provide a time for parents to come together, connect with one another, and hear important grade-specific updates from Pingree administration. Upcoming potlucks include:
- Grade 12 Parent Potluck: Tuesday, April 23 at 6:00 p.m. (Pond Room)
The Pingree Parent Network (PPN) aims to enhance the student experience and to facilitate opportunities for parents to connect with each other and engage in the Pingree community. To learn more about the initiatives of the PPN, please visit the Pingree Parent Network webpage.
If you are interested in learning about opportunities to support the PPN, please contact PPN Director, Kathleen Tarnowski P'19, '21.
If you have a particular skill, hobby, research interest, or area of expertise (or know anyone who does) that could enrich student learning, we invite you to consider sharing your talent, either in a winter workshop or by hosting a spring trip through Pingree's Local L.A.B. program.
Please contact Jessica Moore if you are interested in participating or learning more about how you can support experiential learning.
If you are able to offer an internship, mentorship, or apprenticeship, be it creative, service-oriented, or career-focused, we encourage you to share your time and expertise by serving as a Senior Project Supervisor. Senior projects take place during a 45-hour time commitment over the course of two weeks, after academic classes have ended: Monday, May 20 - Friday, May 31, 2019 (excluding Memorial Day).
Please contact Meg O'Neill if you are interested in participating or learning more about how you can support senior projects.
The goal of this committee is to reach 100% parent participation in making a tax-deductible gift to the Pingree Fund. Each year, a dedicated group of 20+ parent volunteers reach out to 12-15 fellow parents asking them to make a gift or pledge to support the Parent Pingree Fund throughout an 8-week solicitation period in the fall.
For more information or if you would like to participate as a committee member, please contact Di Mathey.
