Pingree welcomed students back this past week with an exciting orientation program tailored to each grade, designed to foster community and build connections among classmates.
Incoming freshman class and transfer students gathered on campus for a day full of bonding activities to help transition into high school. While new students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the school environment, set up their lockers, tour the campus, and more.
Sophomores embarked on a day trip to Project Adventure, where they participated in an outdoor challenge course. The activities combined purposeful play with team-building exercises and reflection, aimed at strengthening bonds among classmates while promoting personal growth.
Juniors enjoyed a day at Polar Park, cheering on the WooSox as they faced off against Toledo. The outing provided a relaxed setting for students to connect outside the classroom and experience local culture together.
Seniors went on an overnight camping trip to West Forks, Maine, where they engaged in a whitewater rafting adventure. Activities included campsite setup and maintenance, optional swimming, rafting, campfire s’mores, and small group discussions focused on goal setting for the year ahead.
Orientation week at Pingree School continues to be a cornerstone of building a cohesive and enthusiastic student body, setting the stage for a successful and connected school year.
