Welcoming New Faculty and Staff

With the advent of a new academic year, we are pleased to welcome to our campus community the following ten new members of our faculty and staff. 

Allison (“Ally”) Babula joins the English Department as an English Teacher. Ally received her bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and her master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. She comes to us from New Utrecht High School in New York. Her teaching experience also includes time at Brooklyn Technical High School and The Special Music School - America. Ally will coach dance and softball.

Kirsten (“Kiki”) Bush joins the English Department as an Interim English Teacher and Director of the Writing Center. Kiki is familiar with the Pingree community as she has worked here as a substitute and leave coverage teacher. Kiki earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University, and her master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Kiki’s teaching experience includes work at Kailua High School and the University of Hawai’i at Manoa.

Elisha Cho will join the Language Department as a Spanish Teacher and serve as the Director of the Pingree Fellowship Program. Elisha earned her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and her master’s degree from Harvard University. She comes to us from Beaver Country Day School, where her roles included Assistant Director of Student Life and Equity and Spanish Teacher. Her work experience also includes serving as a Regional Coordinator for Heart for Change Foundation in Colombia, and Program Coordinator for Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education in South Korea.

Nora Maginn Fame joins the Educational Resources Center as the Director of the Learning Commons and Library. Nora earned her bachelor’s degree from Union College and her master’s degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She previously served as the Director of Innovation and Design at the Center for Mission and Research at St. John’s Preparatory School. Her experience also includes work as a Program Administrator at Tufts University and a Senior Program Manager at the Harvard South Asia Institute. Nora will also work with our Model UN and DECA programs.

Steven Moran joins our community as Dean of Students. Steve comes to us from Colby College, where he was an Assistant Dean of Students, Director of the Dean of Studies Office, and Class Dean for First Year Students and Programs. Steve’s experience also includes work as the Director of Student Leadership and Engagement at Guilford College. Steve earned his bachelor’s and his master’s degrees at the University of Maine, Orono.

Amanda Nasser ’09 joins the History Department as a History Teacher. Amanda earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston University, and her doctorate from Northeastern University. Her professional experience includes teaching at Brooks School, KIPP Academy Boston, and Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts in Rhode Island. Amanda will be coaching soccer and basketball.

Conor Pickett joins the Art Department as a Ceramics Teacher. Conor received his bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College. Conor previously worked as a Ceramics Instructor at the Umbrella Arts Center, Indigo Fire Studio, and the Clay School. His experience also includes working as an Operations Manager and Ceramics Instructor at Clay By The Bay Pottery Studios. Conor will lead the yearbook.

Stephen Sacchetti joins the Math Department as a Math Teacher. Stephen received his bachelor’s degree from Haverford College and his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Stephen’s experience includes work as an Instructor and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. He also taught Math at The Loomis Chaffee School and Hopkins School. Stephen will coach basketball and ultimate.

Emily Staros joins the Science Department as a Chemistry Teacher. Emily comes to us from Burr and Burton Academy in Vermont. Emily earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. While at Cornell, she worked as a Chemistry Tutor and Teaching Assistant. Emily will coach volleyball and skiing.

Sara Tollerud joins the Advancement Department as Assistant Director of Advancement Services. Sara received her bachelor’s degree from Boston College. Her advancement experience includes work at Shore Country Day School and The Park School. Sara also worked as a Development Officer at Massachusetts General Hospital and as a Program and Administrative Assistant in the Office of Development at The National Academies, Institute of Medicine.
