Pingree Students Earn Photography Honors

Congratulations to Gianna Ayala ’23, Izzy Ferazza ’20, Kate Greisdorf ’21, Maddie Mandalinci ’20, Max Murdock ’20, Sophia Rizos ’21, and Anna Souter ’21! These talented student photographers were recently selected as part of two elite juried exhibitions in the area.

Kate, Izzy, Max, and Anna were selected for the Emerging Young Artists Juried Exhibit at the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. According to the CVPA, “[it] hosts this highly competitive annual high school juried exhibition and [recognizes] the exceptional merit of art students from high school art programs in New England. The Emerging Young Artists 2020 Juried Exhibition received submissions from 276 young artists, from which the juror, CVPA’s Dean Lawrence Jenkens, selected 79 works for the exhibition. The result is a marvelous exhibition that showcases the talents of New England’s young artists.” The Emerging Young Artists Exhibit is on display from January 22 to February 8, 2020. The open hours are Monday–Thursday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m.–noon.

Gianna, Izzy, Maddie, and Sophia had work chosen to be exhibited in the Griffin Museum Secondary School Photography Exhibit at the Regis College Fine Arts Center in Weston, MA from January 5 to January 12, 2020. Twenty-six schools participated in this event.
