Pingree Opens the New Academic Year

Pingree Opens the New Academic Year

With a renewed sense of possibility, Post-It notes, and blank pages, we begin!  Students returned with a roar of enthusiasm and a joyful sense of community. Many also returned taller, driving, and with or without braces. It feels restorative to be back together, and we are grateful to be adjusting to this new rhythm with our kind, curious, and funny students.

Following the pace of summer, the rush of classes is a transition closely partnered with making friends, building relationships with new teachers, adapting to fresh routines of school life, and cheering for arriving classmates on the entry drive. (Thank you, class of 2023!)

During our uplifting Convocation, students performed and our student body co-presidents, Caitlyn Dion and Frankie Kennedy, and Head of School Tim Johnson offered words of welcome and reflection for the coming year. For anyone who was unable to attend, please click the following links to read our remarks, view a recording of the full event (translated captions are available on the video), and enjoy a gallery of images from the event.

We look forward to a year of connection, growth, and wonder. The rest is unwritten.
