Pingree School is proud to announce that ten of its students were recognized in the 2023 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the nation's longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is an annual competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievements by young artists and writers across the United States. The awards program recognizes excellence in 29 categories of art and writing, including poetry, fiction, journalism, photography, and sculpture.

"We are thrilled to see our students recognized for their creativity and artistic talent," said Eric Haltmeier, Pingree School's Arts Department chair. "Their work represents a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, and it is wonderful to see them receive recognition for their achievements."
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards program is open to students in grades 7–12 who attend public, private, or home schools in the United States. The competition is judged by a panel of experts in each category, and winners are selected based on originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision.
