Clay LePard ’08 was recently recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Suncoast Chapter in the 44th Annual Suncoast Regional Emmy® Awards 2020 Program in the category Feature News Report – Light Series for his station's segment titled “Do Your Part.” As a member of the broadcast team at WKMG-TV (Orlando-Daytona Beach, Florida), Clay reported on heartwarming stories of neighbors helping neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic. These stories include volunteers preparing meals for students in virtual learning, a sign painter creating messages for first responders, and Disney employees holding a toy drive for their laid-off coworkers.
Clay recently moved to Cleveland, OH as a reporter for WEWS-TV, and he and his wife are expecting their first child this summer.
