Community and Multicultural Development

The Community and Multicultural Development program supports Pingree’s goal of nurturing an inclusive school community. In keeping with the Pingree School’s philosophy that a love of learning flourishes best in a diverse community, the Community and Multicultural Development program works collaboratively with academic and co-curricular programs to create curriculum and programs to foster authentic and meaningful conversations about topics of social identity, diversity, equity and social justice.

What We Do

The work of the Community and Multicultural Development program is sustained by faculty/staff and parent committees and student-run social justice and equity clubs. The Community and Multicultural Development program nurtures student leadership through social justice and equity clubs and supporting student training at local and national conferences. At Pingree School, we are committed to sustaining an inclusive community as guided by our mission to cultivate a more just and equitable world.
