Employment
Staff members of Pingree Day Camp are specifically chosen for their skills and successful experience with children. Applicants undergo a thorough application process. Candidates who become staff members are those who are best able to help our camp meet its goals.
Many of our counselors return year after year. Each counselor works with the Camp Director to set goals for the summer and work on areas of growth. Within the organizational structure of the Day Camp, counselors have the opportunity to increase their role and responsibilities each summer.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply. Candidates must commit to either six or eight weeks of Day Camp (June 22 to August 16, or July 8 to August 16), and are required to attend orientation and training workshops prior to the beginning of camp.
Many of our staff are CPR/AED and First Aid certified as well as certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors. Pingree Day Camp also employs a full time certified athletic trainer to take care of all medical issues, injuries and emergencies.
Parents have the right to review background checks, health care and discipline policies, and grievance procedures upon request.
For questions or inquires about the employment process please contact Camp Director Eileen Araneo at earaneo@pingree.org or 978.468.4415, ext. 274.
