Who We Are
Prep@Pingree students join us from a wide array of schools and organizations, with about 96% of our students coming from long-standing community partners and sponsors in Lawrence and Lynn.
Students from these institutions are supported by generous, philanthropic investments covering a cost of $2,500 per student.
Our students attend a wide range of independent, parochial and other high schools and continue study at college and graduate school programs.

Prep@Pingree's governance consists of an advisory committee representing Prep@Pingree alumni, Prep@Pingree parents, community partners, donors, Pingree School alumni, trustees, administrators and faculty.
In addition to a summer staff of high school student instructors (many of whom are Prep@Pingree alumni) assisting a faculty of public and private school teachers who are masters at their craft and just beginning to teach, Prep@Pingree's year-round staff includes three full-time Pingree School employees.
For over 25 years, Prep@Pingree’s Founding Director and current Executive Director Steve Filosa has been a teacher and administrator in independent schools. In addition to his Prep@Pingree role, Steve teaches one section of Advanced Placement Statistics at Pingree School. He serves as an advisory board member of Steppingstone Foundation’s National Partnership for Educational Access (NPEA). Mr. Filosa received his B.S. in mathematics from Tufts University and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
Paul joined Prep@Pingree after serving as Director of Diversity at New Canaan Country School in Connecticut. Paul also taught in the REACH Prep and Horizons Summer Student Enrichment programs for 17 years. Paul coaches football and basketball at Pingree School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and a master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport.
Stacey has been a teacher, coach, administrator, and advocate for students in independent schools for over twenty years. She teaches physics and engineering at Pingree during the school year and happily joined the Prep@Pingree program in the summer of 2016. She teaches science classes for Prep and, working closely with Paul, acts as the Summer Director. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and a master’s degree from the University of Baltimore.
