J.V. Golf

Team Overview

Preparing players for the varsity level of competition, JV Golf offers a supportive environment for players of all skill levels to develop their golfing abilities. Focusing on the fundamental development of putting, chipping, driving. The emphasis is on skill development, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the game. Players have the ability to practice on a beautiful course and increase their knowledge of the sport.

The team consistently practices and plays at Wenham country club right down the road from the school. Play consists of nine-hole rounds under match play rules, with six golfers to a side.

Head Coach: Peter Albert

Peter is excited to work with the JV Golf team this season. He started coaching in 2002 as the interim novice women’s rowing coach at Fairfield University while still a student. After coaching at a number of Nike rowing camps and a couple years of living in Colorado, Peter returned to the northeast to work at Avon Old Farms School, where he coached JV and Varsity soccer, JV and Varsity wrestling, and the JV tennis team. Peter then moved to the Hun School of Princeton where he was the head boys rowing coach before taking over the novice program for his last year at Hun. At Pingree, Peter also helps out with the Varsity Rowing team.
