Team Overview
Pingree girls’ soccer competes in the Eastern Independent League while also playing a challenging schedule outside of the league. The team has enjoyed great success in recent years having regularly qualified for the New England Tournament, winning back-to-back championships in 2013 and 2014 and 2016 as well moving to Class B.
The goals of our program are to develop teams that can compete successfully and to instill in our players the value of always striving for competitive excellence without compromising a commitment to good sportsmanship. Please come by the field to watch one of our games!

Coaching Staff
Interim Head Coach: Casey King
Casey has been coaching for 10 years now and has worked at many different levels including club, high school and college. Before coaching, Casey played 4 years at Wingate University in North Carolina where she led her team to victory in the SAC Championship and their first ever NCAA tournament bid. Currently, she is the Junior Girls Director at NEFC North Shore and head coach of 3 teams from U9-U14. Casey has a passion for the game and taking on the role of empowering young female athletes.

Interim Head Coach / GK Specialist: Peter Levasseur
Peter LeVasseur grew up in Salem, MA, and has been coaching on the North Shore for over 20 years at the youth, high school, and college level. Peter is currently the director of goalkeeping for NEFC North Shore and is the head coach for the U14 and U19 girls teams. Peter has also been the assistant/goalkeeper coach for the Boston Breakers Reserve team for the past six years.
As a player, he was a four year varsity starter at Salem High School, then moved on to Salem State University (formerly Salem State College) where he was a three-time conference (MASCAC) all star, two-time All-New England all star, and currently holds all goalkeeper records at the college.
Assistant Coach: Alexandra Leff
Growing up in Maine, Alexandra developed a passion for outdoor activities and athletics. She has spent her life hiking, biking, swimming, running, backpacking, camping, skiing, and exploring. Alexandra loves both team and individual sports, always pushing herself physically and mentally. In high school, she played four years of Varsity Soccer, raced as a Nordic Skier and Cyclist, and won 1st place in her age group in the Maine State Triathlon. In college, she played on the Dickinson Club Soccer Team (DCFC) and took up Tennis and Yoga as new hobbies.
Alexandra is a Registered Yoga Instructor and has coaching experience in Men’s Varsity and JV Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Cross Country Running, and JV Women’s Tennis. She enjoys forming genuine connections with her athletes, fostering a positive coach-player dynamic, balancing player expectations with team goals, and promoting self-confidence, collaboration, and leadership.
