Team Overview


Pingree field hockey competes in the Eastern Independent League. EIL schools include Bancroft School, Beaver Country Day School, Berwick Academy, Concord Academy, Dana Hall School, Newton Country Day School, Lexington Christian Academy, and Winsor School. Pingree also plays a challenging schedule outside of the EIL against schools such as Phillips Exeter, the Governor’s Academy, Phillips Andover, and Wheeler School.

The goals of our program are to develop teams that can compete successfully and to instill in our players the value of always striving for competitive excellence without compromising our commitment to good sportsmanship. Please come by the field to watch one of our games!

Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Jen Richardson

Jen Richardson works with Seacoast United Essex Field Hockey Club as a U16 Premier coach and was previously the U14 coach at Danvers Indoor Sports. In addition to coaching for SUEFH. Jen has also served as Director of the Masconomet Youth Field Hockey Program since 2011.

A standout athlete at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, Jen lettered all four years in field hockey, basketball, and softball. From 1994 – 1997, Jen was a dominant player at Division 1 Northeastern University. She was inducted into Northeastern’s Hall of Fame in 2009 and led the team to four consecutive championship titles. She led the nation in points and set numerous Northeastern records.

Assistant Coach: Mary Brayer

Growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (also known as the "City of Champions"), Coach Brayer has a strong passion for sports and athletics - whether watching the Steelers on Monday Night Football or playing a game of pickup basketball. Brayer played varsity field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse in high school, and she played competitive club field hockey at the University of Pittsburgh. Brayer has coached both middle school and high school field hockey teams and really enjoys coaching. In addition to coaching, Brayer has been teaching biology, chemistry, and AP Environmental Science at Pingree since 2012.


GK Coach: Kayla Raneri

Kayla graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 2014. She then attended Merrimack College where she played on the field hockey team for four years and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Human Development. Kayla began coaching at Pingree in 2017. She is also the Assistant Director of the Seacoast United Field Hockey Club in Massachusetts.
