Team Overview

Pingree touts a football program that develops the individual both physically and mentally. The Highlanders were NEPSAC Bowl Champions in 2009 and 2010 and were NEPSAC runners up in 2011 and 2015. We continue to emphasize conditioning and basic skills. As sophisticated as the game of football has become, blocking and tackling are still the essence of a successful team. With a strong foundation in place, the team has developed and continues to perfect our no-huddle spread offense. On defense, we are using a 4-3 defense with emphasis on group tackling and disciplined positional play. Above all, we continue to stress the importance of team play both on and off the field, which fits the philosophy honored by all of Pingree’s athletics programs.
