Team Overview
Focused on developing their skills for the varsity level, our team focuses on building fundamental techniques and teamwork to prepare players for higher levels of competition. The goal of our program is to improve foot skills, passing, and strategic knowledge of the sport throughout the season. The emphasis is on both individual improvement and collective achievement, fostering a supportive and community environment for all players. 
Coaches
Head Coach: Diego Mattos
Diego joined Pingree after teaching for a number of years at Saint Michael's College, Vermont. Before that he spent time in Columbus, Ohio completing his graduate studies at The Ohio State University. Diego has experience coaching recreational soccer in Ohio and Vermont, and also Secondary Education soccer level. In 2018 he was assistant coach for the JV A Girls Pingree Soccer team. He is originally from La Paz, Bolivia.
Assistant Coach: Mike Gracey
Mike Gracey grew up in Granby, Connecticut, where he was captain of his high school soccer team. He has taught English and coached the J.V. boys soccer team at Pingree for over ten years. In addition to coaching soccer, he works with the varsity baseball team.
