Coaches
Head Coach: Eric Olson
The Pingree Girls Varsity tennis team is coached by long-time Pingree mathematics teacher, and USPTA-certified tennis professional, Eric Olson. Eric coached the Pingree boys team to four first-place finishes in the EIL (from 1999 - 2011) as well as two New England Championships. Eric was twice "Coach of the Year." He has also founded and directed All-Court Tennis Camp since 2002.
Assistant Coach: Allison Falvey
Allison is a distinguished graduate of Connecticut College, where she majored in education and American studies with a minor in sociology. Her commitment to leadership transcended the high school arena, as she served as the team captain of her tennis team. Notably, her excellence on and off the court earned her recognition as a scholar athlete by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, along with NESCAC Spring All Academic Team honors. Eager to give back to the institution that played a pivotal role in shaping her character and skills, Allison has returned to Pingree, this time as a coach. While at Pingree Allison emerged as a standout athlete, earning varsity status in not just one but three sports: volleyball, basketball, and tennis. Her prowess on the court coupled with exceptional leadership skills, led her to serve as captain for all three teams during her senior year. As a coach for volleyball, basketball, and tennis, Allison brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and a deep understanding of the values that make Pingree's sports culture unique.
Assistant Coach: Kerlyn Caba - Harlem native and St. Lawrence University graduate Kerlyn Caba is the new JV2 Assistant Volleyball coach and Varsity Assistant Tennis coach. Throughout her middle and high school years she practiced the sport Taekwondo and achieved the status of Certified Instructor and earned her second degree black belt in the process. She even got the chance to lead and perform a demonstration for the Tuskegee Airmen, and assisted in teaching a women’s self defense workshop in a church in New York City. After spending years coaching her peers and teammates older and younger, she learned how to efficiently institute disciplinary standards and how to account for varying skill sets. In college, volleyball and badminton became some of her interests and helped her appreciate being in a new team sport setting. Ultimately, these team sports helped her hone her leadership and sportsmanship skills and motivated her to continue her passion of coaching aspiring individuals willing to exercise their youthful grit.
