International Students

Pingree has a tradition of enrolling a small number of international students each year. Pingree has enrolled students from China, Brazil, Peru, Hong Kong and Spain for example. Pingree does not have a limit on the number of international students that can attend the school.

Students are welcome to apply for grades 9-11, however, there may be limited enrollment for sophomores and juniors. Pingree does not allow students to apply for grade 12 or for a postgraduate year.

Application Fee: The application fee for international students is $120.

Tuition: Tuition for international students is the same as for our domestic candidates. Tuition for the 2022-2023 school year is $53,800.

Miscellaneous fees: Students will be required to purchase books and may require additional funds for school-sponsored trips and activities.

Financial aid is not available for international students.

As a day school, Pingree does not offer housing for students. Enrolled international students are required to secure their own homestay for their time at Pingree.

An interview is a requirement for application and Pingree prefers that all students visit campus for a tour and interview. There may be circumstances for international students that prohibit them from coming to South Hamilton. In those cases, an admission officer will conduct an online interview utilizing Zoom, Skype or other similar technologies.

International students must take and submit both the TOEFL exam and the SSAT exam with a writing sample. Students must receive a score of 90 or above on the TOEFL for consideration. There is no minimum score for the SSAT. No other proficiency exams are accepted.

Pingree does not offer ESL classes. Proficiency in English is a requirement of all international applicants.
