Book List and Purchasing Instructions

View the 2019–2020 Book List

This complete list will include all required books and, when possible, will indicate websites for downloading e-books. In some courses, students may have a choice between a hardcover text, paperback text, or e-book. Please keep in mind that not all courses will have required books listed. In some cases teachers will pass out course packets or provide school-owned books in lieu of having students purchase books prior to the start of the school year.

Please be aware that not all required books are available via Follett (see purchasing information below), nor are you required to purchase available books from Follett. There are many online book providers and, in some cases, you can purchase books from your local bookstore. For example, The Book Shop of Beverly Farms has offered a 10% discount to all Pingree students on summer reading titles. If you choose to purchase books from a place other than Follett Books, please be sure you obtain the correct edition and ISBN. ISBNs are listed in the complete list of books above.

Students are expected to purchase books prior to the first day of classes.

Pingree has limited financial assistance available to help defray the cost of books. Students who are awarded financial aid receive priority when these funds are made available. To get more information, please contact Mary Dyer in the Admission Office at 978.468.4415 x362 or via e-mail.

Purchasing with Follettt

Follet Books is Pingree’s official online bookstore. On their website you will find a detailed listing of books available via Follett. You are able to purchase new and used books and, in some cases, rent books or purchase e-books from Follett Books. This includes both summer reading books and textbooks for Pingree courses.

Pingree's bookstore will open by July 16 for all 2019–2020 book purchases. Follett will offer free shipping on orders over $49.

Please note that Follett Books will also be on campus at the end of the school year to buy back eligible books.
