Increasing Faculty Diversity in Independent Schools

Inspired by the school's mission to create a more just and equitable world, the Pingree Fellowship Program supports educators from historically underrepresented identities and provides pathways for talented developing professionals committed to education to enter and diversify the independent school teaching landscape. In addition to mentorship, the program provides fellows with opportunities to teach, coach, and advise, preparing them for a career in independent schools.

Personalized Mentorship & Gradual Teaching Development

Ongoing Professional Development

Engage in weekly seminars led by our Fellowship Director, covering essential teaching skills from lesson design to classroom management. Join a vibrant professional community through department collaborations, new faculty meetings, and targeted development opportunities that will accelerate your growth as an educator.

Full Community Integration

Experience the rewarding diversity of independent school life by coaching or leading student activities, participating in our advisory program, and connecting with students beyond the classroom. This holistic involvement helps you build meaningful relationships and understand the full scope of an independent school educator's impact.
