Pingree Parents Association
May 2012
Dear Pingree Parent,
Welcome! Pingree is a unique community of students, faculty, staff, and parents who are committed to excellence and dedicated to this school. The Pingree Parents Association is the forum for parents to support the mission of the school, and acts as a resource for Pingree parents. As a Pingree parent or guardian, you are automatically a member of the Pingree Parents Association.
We hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities available for parents to get involved, meet other parents, have fun, and become a greater part of our community. Traditions in the fall include the Founder’s Day Convocation ceremony, James C. Deveney Golf Classic, and Homecoming. Throughout the school year, we will hold class level potluck suppers, parent education events, receptions prior to concerts and plays, as well as morning coffees with Dr. Tim Johnson, our head of school.
Parental involvement is an important component of the Pingree community. We recognize that you have many priorities competing for your time, but we encourage you to jump right in and attend a game, assembly, play, or concert this fall. We invite you to get involved with the Pingree Parents Association. All levels of participation are welcome.
Our first Parents Association meeting is on Tuesday, September 11. We would love to see you there but if you cannot attend, feel free to contact me, any of our other officers, or your class representatives with questions, thoughts or ideas. Help us all be Proudly Pingree!
With warm regards,
Barb Cunningham
