Philosophy

Our program appreciates the need to acquire the traditional studio skills.  It also understands that individuality and originality shape greatness.  We attempt to balance the two.

Course Offerings

• Freshman Art (Required)  - An introduction to the creative process through a number of art forms.
• Drawing and Painting (Elective) - A study of the basic elements of drawing and painting.
• Sculpture (Elective) - An introduction to the methods, material and tools of  sculpture.
• Portfolio (Elective) - Intended for the highly motivated art student.  A "flexible" studio structure that encourages independent development of ideas.
