Giving

Pingree School opened in 1960 with a magnificent gift: the house and grounds of Flying Horse Farm.  A donation to the school today renews that same generous spirit, bringing to life every aspect of the Pingree experience.~ We invite you to join the many parents, alumni, and friends who contribute to the growth and vitality of the place so many people call “home.”

Pingree School is supported by the generosity of parents, alumni, and friends through a variety of ways: unrestricted annual gifts to The Pingree Fund to support today's needs; capital gifts to build endowments for financial aid, faculty support, and facility expansion and improvement; and planned gifts to support future generations.

Every year, Pingree hosts a Leadership Donor Dinner to thank the genrosity of over 100 families who have made a contribution of $1,000 or more to the school.

We recognize that philanthropy, no matter the dollar amount, is a highly personal matter to which a great deal of thought is – and should be – devoted. It is also an extraordinarily meaningful way to become involved in the life and growth of an organization in which you believe. The funding vehicles that support Pingree through its current short-term and long-term goals anticipate the cyclical needs of the school to ensure that every gift makes an impact.

Thank you for your interest in supporting Pingree School and its mission.

Types of Giving

The Pingree Fund provides necessary income to the school’s operating budget to support a range of immediate needs that touch the entire campus, including faculty salaries, financial aid,  library books, technology, sports equipment, art supplies, and more.  Learn more >>

Capital Gifts provide important support of people (through financial assistance, endowed faculty chairs, and other means), programs (such as in the global and environmental initiatives), and places (such as an athletics center and an expanded arts facility). Capital donors enable growth at Pingree today and in the foreseeable future. Learn more >>

Planned Gifts allow donors to invest in the school’s future while benefitting from that investment during their lifetime.  Through thoughtful financial, estate, and tax planning, a planned gift tailored to a donor’s needs and interests will allow Pingree to thrive for many years into the future.  Learn more >>

We hope this overview offers perspective with which to view giving to Pingree. The descriptions of our programs contained in this section provide more detailed information about our goals and giving opportunities. If you have questions, please contact us. Thank you.

Maximize your gift! With matching gifts you can sometimes double or even triple your gift. Find out if your employer offers a matching gift program by asking your HR department.
