Eons ago, before Star Trek and Star Wars, there was Forbidden Planet, an ingeniously high-tech science-fiction movie that drew its basic story line from The Tempest. Return to the Forbidden Planet, Bob Carlton's musical version, which incorporates rock and rhythm-and-blues of the 1950s and 1960s, is a case of Shakespeare rattled and rolled.
