Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit

The fourth annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit on the grounds of Pingree's campus is now open with the work of 23 New England artists displayed. Highlighting this year's show is a piece by well-known sculptor Nancy Schon who is our Honorary Chair and the creator of the Make Way for Ducklings statues in the Boston Public Garden.

Other highlights this year include a sand sculpture that was created during the week of September 2 through 7 by Groveland sculptor Justin Gordon. The public was invited to watch Gordon at work as he creates a statue of three students in front of the school.

Also featured in the school's library are ten sculptures by the late Beverly Seamans as a memorial to her and her contributions to the world of sculpture.

The outdoor exhibit is free and open to the public seven days a week during daylight hours. A full-color brochure is available in a "mailbox" located outside. For more information, call 987.468.4415 ext. 233.

The show runs until Sunday, November 24. Admission is free and open to the public, seven days a week during daylight hours.
