At Pingree, we don't close our doors at the end of the school year! Join us each summer for camps, clinics, athletics, academic and enrichment programs that fit the needs of the whole family.

Pingree Day Camp

June 22-August 14, 2015 

With over 25 years of experience, Pingree offers one of the best and most comprehensive summer day camps on the North Shore. Campers have full use of Pingree facilities which include a gymnasium, swimming pool, pond for kayaking, athletic fields, computer labs, theater, dance, music and art rooms, as well as air-conditioned academic rooms and more!

Pingree Classes for 6th, 7th, 8th, and now open to 9th graders

Classes and Workshops for 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Pingree offers new week-long innovative and engaging classes, designed specifically for the inquisitive rising 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students who want to learn in a fun, class environment.

Topics include engineering, digital photography, forensics, creative writing, and much more. Experienced Pingree faculty teach these classes using an interactive, hands-on approach with a focus on individualized attention for each student. Class size is small and taught in our state-of-the-art classroom and facilities.

Special Programs 

Guitar Boot Camp

Sesson I: July 6-10, 2015 
Session II: July 13-17, 2015 

Cost is $375.00 per session

Take your guitar skills to the next level with this course taught by Eric Clemenzi, a master guitar instructor on the North Shore. Each session includes extensive playing, practice, technique exercises, music theory, and advanced equipment training. Campers will collaborate with others to write, arrange and record original music as well as being hands-on in the music lab to learn about digital recording software.

Session I: available to students entering grades 6th, 7th, or 8th 

In Session I, curricula includes learning scales, building chords, understanding theory, learning to improvise and songwriting. Students will have an introduction to the Pingree Music Lab to learn basic recording techniques and will work in small songwriting groups to write, arrange and record a song. 

Session II: available to students entering grades 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th 

Curricula for Session II students includes advanced music theory, development of new techniques, improvisation over chord changes and odd time signatures. Students will work in the music lab as well as in groups.   

Pursuit Camp

Sesson I: July 20-24, 2015 
Session II: July 27-31, 2015
8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Cost is $450.00 per session

Rising 7-10th graders

Class limit is 12 per session 

Campers will arrive on campus in the morning with a brown bag lunch, hop on one of Pingree's vans and have an adventure for the day! Activities may include rock climbing, canoeing the Ipswich River, geocaching in Dogtown, mountain biking, laser tag and more. Each week will have a different set of daily activities, so campers who register for both sessions will see minimal repetition. Participants do not need to be highly athletic or competitive, but should be willing to step outside of their comfort zones and try new things. Tuition includes all fees and transportation costs. 

Camp Director Erika Gorgenyi has facilitated groups of all ages in outdoor team building and challenge course experiences for more than fifteen years. She has led wilderness backpacking trips and international trips with both high school and college students. Currently she teaches rock climbing, works for Project Adventure and is a certified Wilderness First Responder. Erika has been coaching Pingree's Pursuit Team since 2011. 

Pingree Field Hockey Clinic

July 27-30th, 9:00am- 2:00pm 


For girls entering grades 5-9  

Clinic Description:

Pingree's field hockey clinic is designed for players entering grades 5-9 of all levels, beginners to advanced. No prior field hockey experience is necessary. We will focus on individual skill development, rule explanation, positional understanding, and team strategy. Each day will consist of basic skill work, team competition, and fun clinic games. Lunch will be provided.

Players need to provide their own stick, mouth guard, shin guards, cleats and/or sneakers, water bottle and sunscreen, however sticks can be provided for beginners new to field hockey. 


Melissa Larocque graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University where she captained its Division I league championship field hockey team. She also chaired NU's Student Athlete Advisory Board and earned America East academic honors. After college, she coached in the US Futures program and at Bentley College's Elite Field Hockey camp. Coach Larocque spent four years in Washington, DC where she coached varsity field hockey at the National Cathedral School. While in DC she also coached club field hockey for the Southeast Storm. She joined the Pingree coaching staff in 2013 and is proud to be the varsity field hockey head coach.
