During an evaluation soccer camp held at the University of Rhode Island last week, incoming freshman Kerri Zerfoss was honored twice for her athletic excellence; she was selected for the Region One U.S. soccer team and to be a member of an elite team traveling to Costa Rica next winter.
According to the Salem News, "Zerfoss was one of more than 500 talented players evaluated over a four-day period at URI in order to select the Region One team. All the top players in the Eastern seaboard region traveled to Rhode Island with their state Olympic Development teams for the evaluation process, and only the best of the best were selected to represent the region."
