Opening the Doors to Pingree
Pingree School is committed to ensuring that all of our students have access to the many learning opportunities that enrich the Pingree experience. We recognize that these educational opportunities are occurring in our classrooms, on our athletic teams, and in clubs and activities throughout the day and into the evening. They may also take place away from our campus when our students travel both domestically and abroad. In addition, we know that the cost of an independent school education is a significant investment for all of our families, and that there are many times when there are expenses beyond tuition. Some of those expenses might include the cost of books, transportation, travel, and athletic gear and apparel.
Because of our deep commitment to educational access, Pingree has a fund reserved for those who might need financial support beyond tuition; awards are granted on a case-by-case basis as long as funds are available. In addition, our Trips Financial Aid Policy has been created to provide an opportunity for increased participation in academic and co-curricular trips. We are also working on an improved used book program so that we can alleviate this expense for families. Furthermore, since we value the many important educational experiences that occur after our school day ends, late transportation is provided for students after the afternoon bus departure time when needed.
Our goal is to establish clarity for our families, and to be thoughtful as we introduce expenses beyond that of tuition.
