TECHNICAL THEATER DIRECTOR
Pingree has an opening for a
Technical Theater Director, a full-time, academic-year faculty position.
Pingree School’s theater program has been nationally acclaimed and was recently
honored by the North Shore Music Theater’s Spotlight Awards.
The Technical Theater
Director position includes teaching several classes as part of the daily
academic program, one of which would be Theatrical Design and Production. The
Technical Theater Director will also teach and facilitate a student technical
theater organization that enables students to design and implement the
lighting, sound and other technical support needed for any and all
performances, including the four annual winter and spring Dance, Music and Theater
concerts as well as other on-campus school-sponsored events.
The Technical Theater
Director will supervise the after-school Technical Theater programs that
provide technical support for 2-3 theater productions each year. The Technical
Theater Director will design and supervise construction of any and all scenery
used in any of the school performance pieces, ensure proper maintenance of the
theatrical equipment systems in the theater, as well as maintain all tools,
equipment and supplies for the scene–shop and theater, and see that they are
safe and usable spaces. The Technical
Theater Director will work with a full-time theater teacher and freelance
costumer.
The Technical Theater
Director may also be responsible for advising 6-8 students.
Teaching experience and an
advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in related fields are
required. Pingree employees are
expected to have proficiency with Microsoft Office, e-mail, and general
internet and software skills.

LIFEGUARD - SUMMER 2010The Pingree Exprierence Day Camp is currently hiring for the summer of 2010. We are looking for an experienced life guard to head up our pool. The candidate must be at least 21 years old and have current lifeguard certifications.

MATERNITY LEAVE SCIENCE POSITION (October 11- January 15)
Pingree School seeks an experienced candidate to teach one
section of AP Biology and 3 sections of Biology. The successful candidate should have at least
3-5 years experience with the AP Biology curriculum, and experience teaching
the course.
Pingree employees are expected to have proficiency with
Microsoft Office, e-mail, and general internet and software skills.
