This Part-Time position includes teaching one or two half-credit courses per semester of Percussion Ensemble (depending on enrollment). The class will meet three times every two weeks on a rotating schedule.

 Percussion Ensemble is open to all students in the Pingree community, regardless of prior musical experience.  The ensemble has focused on hand drumming, improvisation, and learning percussion traditions from around the world.  This course can be adapted to meet the needs and musical interests of students and the percussion ensemble may collaborate with other Pingree music ensembles and arts classes.  The percussion ensemble teacher may also have the additional opportunity to teach private drum lessons to interested students.  

Significant experience with drum set, hand percussion, and a variety of musical styles is critical.  The ideal candidate should take initiative and be collaborative, innovative, detail oriented, organized, and be comfortable working with beginner as well as experienced percussion students. In addition, an appreciation for drawing interdisciplinary and community connections would be valuable.

Pingree employees are expected to have familiarity with Google Apps for education.

Captial Campaign Assistant

 The opening for Capital Campaign Assistant is a full-time position available for the 2013-14 academic year beginning June, 2013.  The position is approximately 40 hours per week, with the possibility of a flexible schedule, and the potential to work from home on occasion. Some evening and weekend commitments required.  Reports to:  Director of Institutional Advancement

 The ideal candidate must be organized and detail-oriented, with demonstrated experience with fundraising and capital campaigns, preferably within an independent school.  (S)he must be highly skilled with Raiser’s Edge and adept with Word and Excel.  Additionally, this position requires the ability to organize and run special events, to manage volunteers and potentially to cultivate and steward donors.  Familiarity with best practices in prospect research is a plus.  The successful candidate will demonstrate awareness of the Pingree School community, adaptability, strong communication skills, initiative, energy and a sense of humor.  

 Responsibilities:

-         Assist with scheduling, meetings and correspondence related to capital campaign;

-         Create, manage and distribute volunteer, prospect and donor reports;

-         Support and assist volunteers to complete their assignments;

-         Organize, maintain and distribute campaign-related print and digital materials;

-         Prepare for and attend special events and receptions related to capital campaign, both on and off campus;

-         Prepare and update prospect research profiles.
