Picture of the Week

Prep@Pingree alumni met privately with Governor Deval Patrick before Wednesday evening's Tenth Anniversary Celebration for Prep@Pingree. Nearly 300 guests filled the gym to hear from former Prep@Pingree participants, Founding Trustee Malcolm Coates and Governor Patrick. During the celebration, Patrick praised the program for giving students "the gift of imagining any path and projecting themselves onto that path." To learn more about Prep@Pingree, click here.

A Message from Lisa Gaquin, President of the Pingree Parents Association

The welcome speeches have been given and the work (and fun) have begun. Pingree Parents Association (PPA) is off to a fast start this year. Hopefully, you have had a chance to attend the new parent coffee, Convocation, or our first PPA meeting. It is difficult to quantify the positive “vibe” about Pingree but attendance at recent events has been robust. Over 90 people attended the new parent coffee and about 60 parents attended this week’s opening PPA meeting. Those are big numbers for a small school. Read more >

Art Teacher's Work Chosen for Prestigious Event

Two photographs by Pingree art teacher Deborah VanderMolen were chosen for inclusion in the New England Photography Biennial 2011. Every two years, the Danforth Museum of Art in Framingham celebrates photography through a highly selective exhibition of photographers who live or work in New England. Seventy-four photographs were chosen this year from 1,055 images submitted by 211 photographers. Each photographer was limited to three submissions.

The exhibit of chosen photographs is on display at the Danforth until November 13. The museum is located at 123 Union Avenue in Framingham. Phone is 508-620-0050.

Congratulations to Deborah!
