Welcome from the Head of School
On behalf of the entire Pingree School community, I welcome you to our website. We are a rigorous, caring, and authentic learning community in which students develop the dispositions and habits of mind to thrive in today's world. I marvel at our students, alumni, and faculty, in all their variety, with all their incredible talents, their capacity for hard work, their concern for others, their ability to think flexibly and communicate with precision, their imagination and creativity, their passion, and their persistence.
We invite you to explore Pingree, both online and in-person. When you visit, you will find a stimulating and challenging curriculum; curious and engaging students; a well-educated and dedicated faculty; a wide array of artistic, athletic, and extracurricular opportunities; a beautiful campus and impressive physical plant; and an environment conducive to learning. You will discover an inclusive community proud of its friendly atmosphere and warm relationships. You will witness a love of learning among our students that is rooted in our appreciation of independent and innovative thinking.
Close student-teacher relationships and a partnership with families are essential to us as we strive to instill in our students the values of integrity, compassion, self-esteem, and commitment to one another and the world at large. The impressive legacy of our School is borne out of the remarkable accomplishments among Pingree alumni. Our graduates serve others, and they are transforming their communities all over the world.
Pingree is a remarkable school with ambitious goals. As you read our mission statement, please know that this living, student-centered document is the standard against which our community measures all that we do. I invite you to consider the many advantages of our School, and I look forward to welcoming you to campus soon.
