Who We Are

Our Students

Prep@Pingree students join us from a wide array of schools and organizations, with about 96% of our students coming from long-standing community partners and sponsors in Lawrence and Lynn.

Students from these institutions are supported by generous, philanthropic investments covering a cost of $2,500 per student.

Our students attend a wide range of independent, parochial and other high schools and continue study at college and graduate school programs.

Our community partners include:

Asian Center of Lawrence
Breed Middle School
Community Day Charter Public School
Esperanza Academy
KIPP Academy, Lynn
Lawrence Boys and Girls Club
Lawrence Family Development Charter School
Lynn Boys and Girls Club
RAW Artworks
UP Academy
Wetherbee School

Youth Development Organization

Sponsoring Organizations: About 3% of Prep@Pingree students come from sponsoring organizations committed to seeing their students succeed throughout the summer. Two such organizations are Elevated Thought and Merrimack Valley YMCA, both of which send students to Prep@Pingree at a cost of $750 per student.

Tuition-paying Students: About 5% of our students come from communities such as Boxford, Ipswich, Lawrence, Lynn, Newburyport and Topsfield at a cost of $1,750 per student. Interested program participants receive secondary school counseling and benefit from ongoing activities throughout their eighth grade year and beyond.

Our Staff

Prep@Pingree's governance consists of an advisory committee representing Prep@Pingree alumni, Prep@Pingree parents, community partners, donors, Pingree School alumni, trustees, administrators, and faculty.

In addition to a summer staff of high school student instructors (many of whom are Prep@Pingree alumni) assisting a faculty of public and private school teachers who are masters at their craft and just beginning to teach, Prep@Pingree's year-round staff includes three full-time Pingree School employees.
